Privacy Policy

StageRun is designed with privacy as a default. An account is entirely optional — every timer, display, and controller flow works with no sign-up at all. This page describes what we collect if you never sign in, and the small amount of additional data collected if you choose to sign in with Google.

Session data (temporary): When you create a display session, we store a randomly generated session ID and a 6-digit pairing code on our server. These expire automatically after 24 hours of inactivity.

Timer state (temporary): Timer configuration and state (type, duration, status) are relayed through our server in real time and are not persisted after your session ends.

We do not collect: IP addresses, device identifiers, location data, or usage analytics — with or without an account.

Signing in is optional and currently only useful for saving presets and (in the future) managing a paid subscription purchased on the web. If you choose to sign in:

We collect: your name and email address, as provided by Google, plus a stable account identifier. We store your chosen plan (Free/Pro) and any presets you explicitly save to your account.

We do not: read your Google contacts, calendar, or any other Google data beyond basic profile (name/email) — StageRun only requests the minimum Google sign-in scope.

When using Local/LAN Mode, all data stays on your local network. Nothing is sent to our servers. The Android app runs its own embedded server on your device. Local Mode is available on every plan, including Free.

StageRun does not run ads and does not integrate with advertising or analytics networks. We use Google Sign-In solely for authentication (no other Google APIs), and — once enabled — Razorpay solely to process web subscription payments; Razorpay handles your payment details directly, StageRun never sees or stores card numbers. The Android app uses standard Google Play Services for app distribution only, and never shows purchase or pricing UI (subscriptions, when available, are purchased on the web only).

Session and timer data (no account required) is deleted automatically after 24 hours. We do not maintain backups of session or timer data.

Account data (name, email, plan, saved presets) is retained until you delete your account — either in-product at Account (immediate, permanent) or via our deletion-request page if you can't sign in.
